　　The computer is widely used in education，andsomepeople think teachers do not play important roles inthe classroom. To whatextend do you agree ordisagree?

　　Computers nowadays are more and more widelyused in education. Hence,some people claim thatteachers are no longer playing important roles intheclassroom. I completely agree with this statement.Although teacher may bemore emotional thancomputers, the later actually far outdoes ineducatingstudents, for the following three reasons.

　　First, it is an undoubted fact that computer are more likely toprovide sufficient information tostudents. Neither a well trained graduate fromeducation institute nor an experienced teachercan offer more knowledge than anadvanced computer.Human brain is more suitable forcreative activities, but notin conveying information. As a result of the rapid development intechnology,the computer’s capacity of containing information willbecome much stronger.

　　Second, computers are more efficient in educating students thanteachers, not only becausethey will merely make mistakes, but also due to thatthe will not feel worn out after a long timeof work. It goes without sayingthat teachers are some times complained to transfer mistakenmessages tostudents. And the latter, lack of enough related knowledge, finally becomethevictims of such mistakes. Further more, as they were so tired after a wholeday working,teachers are often slow in reaction while asked questions bystudents. Computers, which cannever effected by emotional factors, have no suchdisadvantages.

　　Last but not least, children are becoming more and more familiarwith computers while they arebeing taught by this new technology. It’s widely accepted that computer has become anessential tool for ourdaily life. Children could learn how to master it better by the process ofbeingeducated by it rather than taking an intentional class presented by a teacher.Classroom,as everybody believes, is a place where students learn knowledge andskills, both academic andpractical. So it should be the duty for school toprepare students for the computer-orientedsociety

　　All in all, although teachers still contribute to education, we can’t turn a blind eye to the factthat they are not important any morecompared to another kind of tutors-computers.
