　　This is a satirical but thought-provoking picture. A host of people are crossing the street; to our great shock, they focus all their eyesight on cell phones rather than the road, and in order to see, they rely on their walking sticks.

　　Such a picture can be naturally associated with people’s overuse of mobile phones. Overusing cell phones will bring several consequences. First of all, overusing cell phones will make people near-sighted since fonts of words on the phone screen are small. What’s more, overusing cell phones could cause accidents. It was reported that a girl fell into a sewer and drowned when reading texts on her phone. Last but not least, overusing cell phones will estrange us from our family and friends.

　　As a youngster, I am convinced that it is of great necessity for us to refuse to be the slave of cell phones. Thus, we should educate, advocate and encourage our friends, classmates and acquaintances to spend more time communicating with others face to face. Do bear in mind: cell phones are just our tool. Cell phones bring us convenience but they are part of our life, not the whole of our life.
