掌握经典话题范例 玩转雅思口语

Birthdays

Do you likebirthdays?  

Of course, I reallyenjoy my birthday. I would like to hold a birthday  party and invite my best friends to celebratemy birthday with me.

Do Chinese peoplecelebrate birthday?  

It depends. Someyoung people often hold a birthday party and they will invite their classmates andfriends to celebrate with them. In contrast, some people who do not want to beolder are less likely to celebrate their birthdays.

Are any birthdaysespecially important in your country?

In fact, not onlypeople have birthdays,but our country also has its birthday---the national day.And it is important for every people in our country. We are blessed with a 7-dayholiday in our national day. That’s a really wonderful thing.

Cooking

Do you know how tocook?  

I’m afraid not. I’mbusy with my studies every day and I have no time to learn how to cook. But ifI had the time, I would learn it from my mother. She is really good atcooking,especially Chinese cuisine.

Do you likecooking?  

not really. Cookingis not my cup of tea. I think cooking is a waste of time since time is soprecious today. I would rather eat in a restaurant instead of cooking a meal bymyself.

Do you think everyoneshould learn how to cook?  

Not necessarily.Since there are tons of restaurants everywhere. You are able to choose whateveryou like to eat instead of cooking a meal for yourself. It is time-saving andnot very pricy as well.

Museums and artgalleries

Are there manymuseums in your hometown?  

That’s for sure.though I live in a middle-sized city, there are a variety of museums in my hometown,such as the folk are museum, the marine museum and stuff like that.

Do you like visitingmuseums and art galleries?  

No really ,visiting museumsand art galleries is kind of boring. When I am free,

I prefer to do some outdooractivities such as playing basketball. But when the tickets are free, I wouldchoose to wander around these places to expand my knowledge.

Do you think museumsare useful for visitors to your hometown?

Of course. Museumsare good places to preserve and present the objects of cultural significance.They stand for the culture of the city. Besides, visitors will understand thecity better though visiting museums.
